Is Intel's Presentation's Slide Misleading?

There is a prominent picture that has been floating around the tech reviewer's social media of a presentation slide by Intel Partner Connect. The slide was supposedly leaked by a respected hardware leaker, the slide (Figure 1) shows a comparison between two laptop's gaming performance, one with Intel's CPU, i7-10750H and another one with AMD's CPU, Ryzen 9 4900HS.

Figure 1: One of the slide from leaked presentation.

It shows laptop with Intel's CPU has 21% more performance in average over a series of AAA games, while being $150. At a first look it looks like Intel powered laptop is far more ahead than AMD powered, even though the laptop cost 11.6% less, has less cores and threads. However, how well balanced is this gaming performance test result? Have a look at the specifications of the laptops below.
Asus Rog Zephyrus G14
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS
    • Speed:      3.0GHz/4.3GHz
    • Core:        8
    • Thread:    16
    • TDP:        35W
  • GPU:
    • Nividia RTX 2060 MaxQ
  • Price: $1449 or £1180

MSI GL65
  • CPU: Intel Core I7-10750H
    • Speed:     2.6GHz/5.0GHz
    • Core:       6
    • Thread:   12
    • TDP:       45W
  • GPU:
    • Nividia RTX 2060
  • Price: $1299 or £1058

In terms of gaming performance GPU plays a crucial role because it is the one rendering images and spitting out images on your screen. Therefore, when you are gaming your system rely more on your GPU than CPU for fps performance. The GPUs used in those laptops have two different variant GPU in them with different specification. Zephyrus's RTX 2060 MaxQ has TDP of 65W, while GL65's RTX 2060 has TDP of 90W, which is recent refreshed with great increase in performance and increase in power by 38.4%. Also, 90W variant or 'full pill one' (as Linus from Linus Tech Tips describes it) has faster clock speed of 1560MHz at max boost, while 65W TDP has only 1185MHz. It is a difference of 31.6% and this will have performance difference in test result.

This slide's main focus is to show how much more performance you have when you buy the laptop with their Intel Core CPU rather than AMD's. GL65 is $150 cheaper than the Zephyrus G14 for better system, however there are more to consider rather than just CPU and GPU. There are other feature on laptop such as, refresh rate of the screen, battery Wh, screen size, the design, weight and lot more which can add up to the price but the slide conveniently missed.

Let me know what do you think of this presentation slide, do you think it is misleading and made specifically to make Intel look better than it looks?
